Be a part of the restoration of the historic Jersey City/Harsimus Cemetery 435 Newark Avenue, Jersey City. Every Saturday 9:30am - 1pm volunteers are needed to help with mowing, weedwacking, raking, sweeping and picking up debris. Equipment is limited, so if you have your own weedwacker, please bring it along!

Please wear appropriate protective clothing.

The cemetery is also seeking donations to help restore and maintain the cemetery grounds and caretaker house. They are very limited in funds and equipment. Cash donations maybe sent payable to:

The Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery
PO Box 8026 - Five Corners Station
Jersey City, NJ 07308

Equipment donations (used lawnmowers, weedwackers, wheelbarrows, workgloves, trash bags, bottled water) maybe dropped off 7 days a week at 10 am. For more infomation please contact:

Eileen Markenstein (201)707-0738 or
Michele Egar (201)424-6041
